Migas de Broa de Milho com Bacalhau - Corn Bread Migas with Codfish.

Precisamos de:

2 fatias grandes de broa de milho
couve portuguesa a gosto
1 colher (chá) bicarbonato de sódio
300 grs feijão frade
4 dentes alho
azeite a gosto
2 folhas de louro
sal a gosto
1 posta bacalhau desfiado



Como fazer:

Leva-se o bacalhau a cozer e deixa-se esfriar. Desfia-se e limpa-se de peles e espinhas.

Retalha-se a couve em pedaços pequenos e leva-se a cozer com o bicarbonato de sódio. Escorre-se.

Corta-se a broa de milho em pedaços pequenos e coloca-se numa tigela. Junta-se o feijão frade e a couve escorrida, o bacalhau desfiado e sal a gosto.

Leva-se ao lume o azeite com o louro e frita-se o alho em pedacinhos, até alourar.

Adiciona-se aos ingredientes da tigela e mistura-se bem. Serve-se morno ou frio.

Este prato pode ser feito sem o bacalhau, serve de acompanhamento ou de refeição principal.



What we need:

2 large slices of corn bread
portuguese cabbage at will
1 teaspoon baking soda
300 grs black-eyed pea
4 garlic cloves
olive oil
2 bay leaves
a pinch of salt
1 shredded portion of codfish


How to do:

Boil the codfish. Let it cool and clean it.

Shred the cabbage into small pieces and boil it with the baking soda. Drain the water.

Cut the corn bread into small pieces and put them in a bowl. Add the black-eyed pea, the drained cabbage, the shredded codfish and a pinch of salt.

Cut the garlic into small pieces and fry them in the olive oil with the bay leaves.

Add to the ingredients in the bowl and mix well. Serve warm or cold.

This dish can be cooked without the codfish and served as a side dish or as main meal.
